This morning, I received a visit from The Honorable M. Appavu, Speaker of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, India, and his delegation at the Malaysian Parliament. Also present was H.E. Ms. Subhashini Narayanan, Deputy High Commissioner of India to Malaysia. 

We engaged in a productive discussion on parliamentary practices in both India and Malaysia. Following this, we made a courtesy call on YB Tan Sri Dato’ (Dr.) Johari bin Abdul, Speaker of the Dewan Rakyat.

The delegation was then provided with a brief tour of the Malaysian Parliament, during which they had the opportunity to observe parliamentary proceedings from the gallery.  

The bilateral relationship between Malaysia and India remains robust, and we look to further strengthening our Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
