I spent my morning with family celebrating Wesak Day with the Buddhist community in my constituency at the Wat Mekprasit Buddhist Temple in Ipoh.
The Wat Mekprasit Buddhist Temple in Ipoh was one of the few early Thai-Buddhist temples in Malaysia. The temple was in fact also visited by the King of Thailand, His Majesty Bhumibol Adulyadejin in the past with Queen of Thailand. King Bhumibol was the longest reigning monarch of Thailand, reigning for 70 years and 126 days.
