In the area of skills polices, skills development is giving way to a new concern: the use of skills. It will be focused to promote productivity and growth. Skills development is not enough unless we make sure that they are used correctly at work and returns with economics, social and environmental benefits.
Ensure investment in workforce training to enable them to acquire a functional understanding of right skills that supports the new era. At a more global societal level, this implies reviewing the education system to integrate this understanding and the development of this curiosity and interest at a young age, to prepare the next generation for this new industry 4.0 era. Develop an ability to understand the evolution of technologies through continuous monitoring, along with soft skills for teamwork and leadership skills.
A decade is about start and analysts are giving us, as usual, their prediction for the next, also taking advantage of the change of decade to look a little further than the year 2020.
