Three MACC officers singled out by the RCI should be charged in court, an open apology must be issued and due compensation be paid by the Government t

Just spoke at KeAdilan dinner at Sitiawan. The majority of people who attended the dinner were Indians.
d Among the issues I raised were;

1.      Three MACC officers singled out by the RCI should be charged in court, an open apology must be issued and due compensation be paid by the Government to Teoh Beng Hock's family.
-----------------------------------------------------
The Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) report on the cause of death of Teoh Beng Hock (TBH) has concluded that he was driven to commit suicide.

The RCI also found three MACC investigating officers involved in the case to have used “continuous, aggressive and improper questioning tactics on TBH which had breached its existing standard operating procedures”.
Teoh Beng Hock was a witness called up to assist in an investigation, and yet not only he was not even protected, he had to face cruel interrogation which drove him to suicide.
Beng Hock was then looking forward to his wedding day. He and his family members were delighted and happy that his fiancé was pregnant.
He was definitely not one who would easily give up his life under whatever situations.

Therefore, if indeed he was driven to suicide as stated in the RCI Report, then we must and can imagine how hard and far the interrogators would have pushed him to a state of mind that made him take his own life by jumping out of the window?
Teoh Beng Hock was a witness called up to assist in an investigation. If someone is needed to help in an investigation, naturally he should be well treated and taken care of.
Instead, not only was he not protected, he had to face cruel interrogation which drove him to suicide.

Since three MACC officers have been singled out by the RCI as being responsible for driving Beng Hock to suicide, the Government must be prepared to take the sternest action against them.
They had caused a family to lose a son, a child to lose a father and a wife to lose her life companion.
Their behavior should not be taken as a case of mere breaching disciplinary rules.
The three MACC officers singled out by the RCI should be charged in court, an open apology must be issued and due compensation be paid by the Government to Teoh Beng Hock's family.

2 Come the next general election, the choice and decision of the Perak Chinese voters is not to choose whether MCA should remain in the government, but to elect Pakatan Rakyat to take over the Perak state power as well as the Federal government.

March 8, 2008 was  a historic day because multi racial Malaysians who have long yearned for political change came together and created  a political tsunami which caused BN to suffer its worst ever electoral defeat.

It was a day when Malay, Indian and Chinese voters decided that enough was enough and courageously voted for change.
July 9, 2011 is going to go down in history as a historic day.

This day saw thousands of multi racial Malaysians walk in Kuala Lumpur to demand electoral reforms which will ensure free and fair elections.

The participants knew the police would be there with water cannons and tear gas, yet because of their yearn for a just cause; they decided to take part in the courageous walk for democracy.
50,000 Malaysians of all races, male and female, young and old were there to champion the cause for electoral reform.

It was indeed a day that made many Malaysians proud.

There can be no true, healthy and vibrant democracy if the people’s right to peaceful gathering is denied.
Similarly, free and fair election is a necessary condition for a true democracy.

BN has been making all attempts to demonise the rally simply because it fears what free and fair election can do damage to BN’s performance in the general election.

A good government will NOT fear any free and fair election. But BN simply dare not face Pakatan Rakyat in free and fair elections.

Not long ago, MCA President Datuk Chua Soi Lek said that MCA will not accept government pots at all levels if MCA does not improve its performance in the next general election.

This is but a tactic to frighten and threaten the Chinese voters.
Gerakan used to frighten the Penang Chinese voters that a weakened Gerakan could mean a weakened chief minister or the loss of the Chinese chief minister ship.

So come the next general election, the choice and decision of the Perak Chinese voters is not to choose whether MCA should remain in the government, but to elect Pakatan Rakyat to take over the Perak state power as well as the Federal government.
