DAP Johor state chairman, Dr. Boo Cheng Hau, had on November 5 made a police report of receiving a written threat left on the gate of his house.
He said the Mandarin words used meant "death" while the Malay words meant "stupid".In May last year, DAP national chairman Karpal Singh received a death threat with a live bullet enclosed in a yellow envelope. The threat and bullet were hand delivered to the his office by a man.
On October 1 this year, DAP MP for Seputeh Teresa Kok lodged a police report after someone posted on her blog a threat which sounded" “teresa, kau ni perlu diajar dgn darah t.kasih”.
Last month, a firework explosive was again hurled at the house of DAP Sarawak state chairman Wong Ho Leng, less than a month after a similar incident previously.
Within a short period of less than two years, we already have death threats made against a few DAP leaders.
We must ask what has happened to this country and why there is now a trend of death threats against politicians ?
All Malaysians must condemn such threats and the Police must do their utmost to nab the culprits.
