NIAT group met PR MP's in Parliament

Pakatan Rakyat supreme Council at its meeting last week decided to have discussion with NGO's to get their views on the suitability.

After more then 2hours of discussion it was agreed that interlok should be withdrawn as a literature text at form 5 level.

The Ministry of Education should on an urgent basis withdraw the novel and replace a new novel so that the students would have enough time to prepare for the exams.



Those present from NIAT are Dato Thasleem Mohamed, Arun Dorasamy, Rev.Henry Sandanam, Rajaretnam Arumugam, Barathidasan Saminathan and S.Gobi Krishnan.

MP's present was M.KulaSegaran, Prof Dr.Ramasamy (Batu Kawan), Charles Santiago (Klang) SivaRasa (Subang) Manogran (Teluk Intan) Tien Chua (Batu) Dr.Mariah (Kota Rajah) Fong Po Kuan (Batu Gajah) and Sim (Kota Malacca).

Todays meeting and dialogue was held at Parliament House to discuss about the "Interlok" literature novel which is now to be used as a text book at the form five level.
