I have given much thought to my “plans’ in relation to the Perak crisis. I shall not at this stage divulge what my decisions are. Suffice to say that my final decisions will depend very much on the outcome of the meeting to be soon held to seek a unity formula for Perak DAP. I reiterate that the recent Perak crisis is one which should be quickly resolved so that all can move on with our important political missions of recapturing Perak state power as well as Federal power in the next general election which is quite likely to be held after next year’s Chinese New Year. I urge all DAP members and supporters to be aware of people with hidden agenda to try to “fish in troubled waters” by making baseless accusations against Perak DAP leadership, including via the distribution of poison letters. I attended a truly captivating interaction session with H.E. Dr. S. Jaishankar, Minister for External Affairs 🇮🇳 last night in Kuala Lumpur. Dr. Jaishankar spoke at length about long standing bilateral relations between Malaysia and India, and how both nations must leverage and build on this special relationship in working together moving forward. Of particular interest to me as highlighted by Dr. Jaishankar is the growth of governance in India driven by digital technology, which the honourable minister said has been a game-changer for country. He highlighted that the basic obligation of any government is to ensure that government aid reaches those most in need in society, and that it is not siphoned off before it reaches them. Legal Profession Qualifying Board (LPQB)

Yesterday, I addressed a question in the Dewan Rakyat regarding the revenue generated by the Legal Profession Qualifying Board (LPQB) from fees collected for the Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) exams this year. The LPQB has collected approximately RM4,264,200.00 from these fees, while expenditure on CLP-related activities amounted to RM543,226.95. In addition to exam-related expenses, the LPQB also bears operating costs for salaries, allowances, office rentals, and other administrative needs. The Member of Parliament for Rasah also raised the ongoing issue of the LPQB not having been audited for the past 17 years, with the last audit conducted in 2007. The Government takes this absence of annual auditing seriously and is actively working to address it, including reviewing necessary amendments to the Legal Profession Act 1976 to ensure appropriate oversight and accountability. #YBKS #MalaysiaMadani #BHEUU #DemiRakyat
